A seminar training on “Albania’s experience in developing the national qualification system” was organized in Tashkent in collaboration with the UNESCO Educational Centre and the Institute for the Development of the National Qualification System.

The event featured Ejvis Gishti, Director General of Albania’s National Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Qualifications, who delivered a presentation on vocational education and the national qualification system in Albania, as well as their current state and development strategy. She shared insights on applying effective methodologies to ensure the integration of the labor market and education system.

The seminar addressed key aspects of Albania’s qualification system model, including its legal framework and governance, the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders in the qualification sector (such as sectoral councils and education providers), the establishment of skill assessment centers and their accreditation process, as well as the international recognition of qualification certificates.

Participants were also provided with detailed information on methodologies and a forecast document outlining the skills and competencies expected to be in demand in Albania’s labor market in the near and long term.

Following the meeting, Anvar Allabergenov, Director of the Institute for the Development of the National Qualification System, and Ejvis Gishti, Director General of Albania’s National Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Qualifications, signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
