Uzbekistan focuses on supporting young people and discovering their talents and potential.

Fully realizing young people’s potential and expanding their opportunities is one of the priorities of the Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy.

The historic success of the student team of the Westminster International University in Tashkent at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2025, held in Washington, became a striking example of such efforts.

The Uzbekistan team, which was ranked among the 16 best teams in the world, demonstrated not only a high level of knowledge, but also developed analytical abilities, public speaking skills, and the ability to work in a team.

This International Law competition is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious events for law students, the purpose of which is to simulate court hearings in the International Court of Justice. This year, more than 700 teams representing universities and leading educational institutions from more than 100 countries took part in the competition.

The Uzbekistan national team has successfully passed the qualifying rounds, first entering the TOP 48, then the TOP 32, and then the TOP 16, ahead of the teams of such recognized world universities as Harvard and Oxford.
