On January 31 this year, the Uzbek National Center at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Sweden received a donation of over 100 of the finest works by representatives of Uzbek classical and contemporary literature. The collection includes books by Alisher Navoi, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, Abdulla Qodiriy, Chulpon, Hamid Olimjon, Gafur Gulom, Oybek, Erkin Vohidov, and Abdulla Oripov. Additionally, the donation features collections of research works dedicated to Uzbekistan’s history, national culture, and spiritual heritage.

These books hold significant importance as they will help introduce the Uzbek diaspora in Sweden and the local population to Uzbekistan’s national culture, history, and literature. Moreover, they will serve as a valuable source of information for Uzbek students studying in Sweden, contributing to the preservation of the Uzbek language and literary heritage.
The event marking the book donation was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Sweden, Rahmatulla Nurimbetov, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BMB Holding, Bekzod Mamatkulov, the Head of the Uzbek National Center in Sweden, Zilola Yulchiyeva, as well as members of the center’s staff.
At the event, discussions focused on the deep roots of Uzbek literature, its role in the world’s cultural heritage, and the importance of promoting Uzbek literary works internationally. Emphasis was placed on increasing the number of cultural and educational projects to strengthen national identity and foster greater interest in Uzbekistan’s culture.
