Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover increased by 15.9%
In January-October 2018, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan amounted to 25,768.3 million dollars and increased, as compared with the same period of the previous year, by 15.9%.
In January-October 2018, the foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan amounted to 25,768.3 million dollars and increased, as compared with the same period of the previous year, by 15.9%. Exports amounted to 10,258.0 million dollars (decreased by 4.1%), the volume of imports amounted to 15,510.3 million dollars (growth rate was 34.4%).
As reported by the State Statistics Committee, according to the results of January-October of this year, the share of cotton fiber in total exports (1.9%) significantly decreased compared to the same period of the previous year. During the same period, 101.5 thousand tons of cotton fiber was exported in the amount of 194.1 million dollars. It should be noted that in October 2018, exports of goods and services decreased by 102.9 million dollars compared with September, while imports of goods and services increased by 183.9 million dollars.
China and Russia have the largest share in the export of goods and services of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The share of these countries in total export is 37,5%.
