Uzbekistan, Russia develop cooperation in cultural-humanitarian sphere
Tashkent hosted the First Meeting of the Subcommittee on Cultural Sphere of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia.
Tashkent hosted the First Meeting of the Subcommittee on Cultural Sphere of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia.
It was attended by members of the delegation led by Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Pavel Stepanov.
Issues of further development of cooperation for exchanging experience and information in culture, education, cinematography, preservation of cultural heritage and library science were discussed at the meeting.
Agreements were reached on opening of leading Russian universities branches and joint faculties in Uzbekistan, organizing trainings with students in creative educational centers at education institutions, as well as special schools of excellence operating during the summer holidays, improving young teachers’ skills, implementing joint projects on improving distance learning system and master's programs.
Cooperation program in cultural-humanitarian sphere for 2019-2021 was approved to further strengthen the legal framework of bilateral relations between Russia and Uzbekistan.
