At the invitation of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a delegation led by the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov arrived in Uzbekistan.
The delegation visited the New Uzbekistan Park, and the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov laid a wreath at the Independence Monument.
Then, the Russian Federation delegation visited the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and got acquainted with its activities and ongoing reforms in personnel training and retraining.
During the visit, a meeting of the two countries’ heads of state control bodies took place.
The delegation representatives were informed about the large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in all areas of state and public life, in particular, in the judicial-legal sphere, to improve the activities of the Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan.
The current state of cooperation was discussed in a friendly and constructive dialogue. Priority directions for further development of interdepartmental relations have been identified.
In particular, agreements were reached on issues related to preventing offenses and crimes, including combating cybercrime and other types of organized crime, exchanging experience on the introduction of information-communication technologies into the activities of the prosecutor’s office, strengthening bilateral cooperation, as well as interaction in training, retraining and advanced training of employees of the prosecutor’s office.
The delegation visited the Museum of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where they learned about the department’s long history, experience, and activities.
