Uzbekistan received the “Culture Destination of the Year” award at the international Voyage Awards 2025, marking another confirmation of the growing interest of the global tourism community in its historical and cultural heritage.

The award was presented to the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for its systematic efforts to promote the country’s national tourism potential on the international stage. Experts highlighted the uniqueness of routes along the Great Silk Road, as well as the richness of the country’s architectural monuments and cultural traditions.

The Voyage Awards are presented annually based on evaluations of tourist destinations, hotel chains, airlines, and tourism organizations, taking into account the opinions of authoritative international organizations, industry representatives, and experts. Uzbekistan’s recognition as the winner in this category once again confirms the growing interest of the global tourism community in traveling to the country, including historic cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva.
