The founding meeting of the Uzbekistan – Qatar Friendship Society was held in Tashkent to promote cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.

The world-renowned sports figure and international referee Ravshan Ermatov has been appointed as the Chairman of the Society.
