
The Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, Nuriddin Ismoilov, met with a delegation led by Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council of Oman.
The Chairman of the Shura Council praised the consistent reforms carried out in recent years under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, noting that Uzbekistan’s international standing continues to rise. He emphasized that the country is a key partner in Central Asia.
The guest also highlighted the significance of the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union taking place in Tashkent. He shared that he had followed the address by the President of Uzbekistan at the plenary session with great interest and that the initiatives proposed were widely recognized and supported by the heads of parliamentary delegations.

Particular attention was given to discussing the prospects for developing cooperation between the legislative and representative branches of the two countries. It was emphasized that there is a need to enhance the activities of the inter-parliamentary cooperation group between the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis and the Consultative Council of the Sultanate of Oman.
The conversation also touched upon the strengthening of trade and economic partnerships, the establishment of industrial cooperation, the joint implementation of investment projects, and the further expansion of ties in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.
