
A correspondent of Oman’s Al Roya Press and Publishing, Ibrahim bin Salem Al-Hadi, who came to Uzbekistan to cover elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Local Councils of People’s Deputies, visited the Uzbekistan National News Agency today.
During the conversation with the UzA Director General, the guest acknowledged the innovative approach to the election process in Uzbekistan, including the widespread use of electronic devices and the success of voting using a mixed system in accordance with the renewed Constitution and national election legislation.
– This year’s elections are a practical result of democratic reforms in Uzbekistan, – said Ibrahim bin Salem Al-Hadi. – In the polling stations, we witnessed the election process fully compliant with the law. In a word, due to the recent reforms in New Uzbekistan, people’s well-being is improving yearly. At the same time, their political knowledge and thinking have also increased.
I would also like to emphasize that cheerful, hospitable, and open-minded people live in Uzbekistan. I realized this when I first came to your country. I am amazed by the Uzbek people’s openness to innovation. At the same time, they do not forget their roots and preserve their rich history and traditions. This land always attracts me.
Following the meeting, it was agreed to sign a Cooperation Agreement between UzA and Oman News Agency – ONA and Al Roya Press and Publishing for regular information exchange and mutual coverage of the two countries’ news.
