A virtual meeting has been held between Deputy Director of El-Yurt Umidi Foundation Odiljon Sattorov and Rector of the Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU) Hari Narayanan.

Representatives of the Malaysian university were informed about measures of the Government of Uzbekistan on improving the educational system and the efficiency of training advanced personnel, and priority tasks to enhance international relations in this area.

The parties exchanged views on promising areas of cooperation in training young specialists of Uzbekistan in advanced master’s and doctoral programs of the Asia-Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, internships and advanced training courses at this university and its partner innovation centers.

The main attention was paid to such areas of advanced knowledge of so-called “Industry 4.0” as the introduction of artificial intelligence in industrial processes and healthcare, big data, cybersecurity, Internet of Things, mobile and cloud technologies and others.

Cooperation in improving the quality of foreign language teaching in the country, in particular by improving the skills of teaching staff and civil servants in English in Malaysia, attracting Malaysian teachers and specialists to Uzbekistan, was also discussed.

Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on a comprehensive study of the voiced proposals with the prospect of concluding a corresponding Memorandum of Cooperation.
