Uzbekistan has developed prototypes of mini agrometeorological stations, software for providing weather forecasts, agrometeorological data, and forecasting the possible spread of diseases and pests of crops.

The developments were implemented within the framework of the UNDP and CCI joint project in cooperation with specialists of Tashkent State Agrarian University and Inha University.

6 domestic agrometeorological stations have been installed and launched. By the end of this year, it is planned to install another 9 agrometeorological stations for farmers in the regions of Fergana valley.

These stations are undergoing testing and approbation, but users, farmers, and inspectors of the plant quarantine service note that the developments are not inferior to their foreign counterparts.

Installation and implementation of the use of agrometeorological stations are carried out within the framework of cooperation of CCI and UNDP project “Enhancing the adaptation and strengthening the resilience of farming to Climate Change Risks in Fergana Valley” implemented with the financial support of Russia.
