During a meeting between the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Adham Ikramov, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Uzbekistan, Duishonkul Chotonov, prospects for further cooperation in sports were discussed.

The representatives of both countries exchanged views on their achievements at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and preparations for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.

It was emphasized that the historical ties between the two nations play a key role in strengthening economic, social, and cultural relations.

Following the meeting, the sides highlighted the ongoing exchange of experience in various sports disciplines, including boxing and wrestling. An agreement was also reached to strengthen cooperation in sports.
