According to the Ministry of Energy, a founding agreement has been signed between Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan as part of the green energy production and transmission project.
This document was implemented with the participation of the countries’ system operators – National Networks of Uzbekistan JSC from Uzbekistan, KEGOS JSC from Kazakhstan, and Azerenergy JSC from Azerbaijan.
Implementing this project, considering new eco-initiatives such as the Green Corridor, will increase opportunities for trade and strengthen cooperation in energy transmission.
It was noted that the Green Corridor Project not only contributes to strengthening the sustainability of Uzbekistan’s energy systems, but also contributes to achieving environmental goals by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. At the same time, large-scale work will be carried out within the framework of the project to attract green investments and improve energy efficiency.
