The Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Yusufjon Usmanov met with the Mayor of Turin Stefano Lo Russo.

At the meeting, it was noted that the bilateral relations between the two countries and cooperation in culture have reached a high level.

Uzbekistan and Italy Presidents exchanged mutual visits during 2023, further strengthening political, economic, and cultural ties.

Issues related to attracting a grant for the refurbishment of the Republican Central Special Library for the Blind in Tashkent, and providing an opportunity for its staff to travel to the Royal Library of Turin to share their work experience were also discussed. It is also planned to cooperate with the Iren Company to modernize cultural facilities based on energy-efficient and environmentally friendly technologies.

Following the meeting, it was emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy in culture will increase the cultural wealth of the two countries’ people and contribute to world art.
