On October 1, an Intergovernmental Expert Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) dedicated to developing an Action Program for 2026-2035 kicked off in Saudi Arabia’s Jeddah. Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan are participating in the event.
The new program will become a logical continuation of the current OIC Action Program for 2016-2025, which has significantly contributed to strengthening cooperation between member states in various fields. The program for 2026-2035 is aimed at further developing these areas and introducing new initiatives that meet modern challenges.
The primary purpose of the meeting is to identify the priority areas of the OIC’s activities for the coming years. Experts and delegates from the participating countries are discussing critical issues of cooperation.
The Action Program for 2026-2035 is expected to become a strategic document that contributes to strengthening the interaction of the participating countries and achieving common goals that correspond to the spirit and mission of the OIC.
