Uzbekistan hosts Fencing World Cup among juniors
Junior Fencing World Cup was held at the Republican Specialized Gymnastics School of Olympic Reserve.

The tournament was organized jointly by the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, National Olympic Committee, a number of organizations and International Fencing Federation. It was attended by more than 50 girls from 14 countries of the world.
In singles competitions, Yoana Ilieva from Bulgaria won a gold, Valeria Kobzeva and Alina Mikhaylova from Russia – silver and bronze medals.
In team competitions, Uzbekistan national team in the quarterfinals defeated Moldova, and in the semifinals – the national team of Germany.
In the final match, Uzbekistan played against Russia. Uzbekistan’s athletes lost the game with a score of 38:45 and became silver medalists.
The national team of Germany won a bronze in the tournament.
Thus, the national team of Russia scored 64 and Uzbekistan national team 52 rating points. While Germany scored 40 points.
