Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Rahimjon Hakimov met with the Head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s Central Asia Regional Programme, André Algermißen.

As noted at the meeting, in recent years, relations between Uzbekistan and Germany have been actively developing in the fields of innovation and technology, green economy, alternative energy, transport and logistics, education, and culture.

The intensification of the political and economic dialogue within the framework of bilateral cooperation was emphasized.

In turn, André Algermißen highly appreciated the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in all areas under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Attention was focused on establishing effective cooperation with the Institute of Parliamentary Studies and the Youth Parliament, as well as on conducting practical activities to introduce new methods and mechanisms in this area.

During the conversation, the parties agreed to develop a mutually beneficial partnership and implement joint projects. In particular, it provides for the study of current issues in modern parliamentarism and the achievements of advanced foreign practice.

The parties exchanged views on cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence in parliamentary activities and the study of German experience in this area.
