The Consulate General of Uzbekistan, together with the SAWKELE Textile Industry Association, IDEAL, INDI FRI FASHION boutiques, and participants of the Nafosat 2021 Young Designers Festival, took part in the International Fashion Week Dubai.

The event also featured several well-known designers from the United States, Italy, France, Germany, Romania, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.

Uzbekistan participants spoke about the large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and about the lifting of the boycott of Uzbek cotton, introduced by the Cotton Campaign, which has been in effect for more than 12 years.

Collections and outfits of national clothes made from Uzbek fabrics attracted the attention of participants of the International Fashion Week. It is noteworthy that now Uzbekistan designers will also be able to participate in shows in Dubai with their clothes.

At the same time, an exhibition of Uzbek national and modern clothes has kicked off in the Uzbekistan pavilion of EXPO 2020 on the occasion of the Navruz holiday. It will present the country’s achievements in culture, fashion and the textile industry.
