Uzbekistan delegation led by Ambassador Dilyor Khakimov visited the leading research center of the Netherlands and one of the most respected agricultural universities in the world – the Wageningen University.

The delegation held negotiations with representatives of the university faculty. The university representatives gratefully accepted a number of concrete proposals of Uzbekistan delegation on establishing exchanges in scientific, academic and research sphere.

According to Uzbekistan MFA, issues of sending Uzbekistan students and specialists to study and improve their skills at Wageningen University were discussed at the meeting.

The parties agreed on a joint project on the rational use of water resources.

In addition, the main conclusions of another project of Wageningen University on “Development of a feasibility study on creation of an innovative and educational center for development of greenhouse facilities” were presented to members of the delegation. The university representatives expressed its readiness to provide all the necessary technical and intellectual assistance to create this center.
