The Ministry of Preschool and School Education delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, led by Minister Hilola Umarova, took part in the International Forum Human Capability Initiative 2025, in Riyadh.
The Forum, organized under the patronage of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, is one of the largest international platforms for discussing human capital development issues, education, economics, and technology. Representatives of governments, international organizations, businesses, and academia from around the world attended the event. Uzbekistan was the only Central Asian country invited to participate in this event, which highlights the growing international interest in educational reforms in the country.

Within the forum, the Uzbekistan delegation met with the Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, and then signed a grant agreement worth $40 million with the international organization Global Partnership for Education (GPE).
As Minister Hilola Umarova noted on her telegram channel, “At the meeting with the IsDB Chairman, it was emphasized that the bank is pleased to be a reliable partner of the government of Uzbekistan in its efforts to create better educational opportunities for future generations”.
The grant will be used to implement a large-scale educational project, including the construction of 58 new inclusive schools throughout the country, equipping educational institutions with advanced equipment, conducting teacher training programs, developing inclusive and preschool education, and improving curricula.
