The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand announced the launch of the electronic visa service “e-visa” in all 94 embassies and consulates general of the country abroad from January 1, 2025.
According to the new regulations, foreign citizens wishing to apply for a Thai visa can use the online platform at https://thaievisa.go.th/. The innovation eliminates the need to provide the original passport and supporting documents to diplomatic missions.
Once the application for an electronic visa is approved, the applicant receives a confirmation email, which should be printed out and presented to airline and immigration officials upon entry to Thailand.
It is important to note that from July 15, 2024, a visa-free regime for travel to Thailand for up to 60 days has been introduced for citizens of Uzbekistan. Tourist, business, family, and other visas for up to 90 days are also available under the electronic visa system.
These changes will facilitate traveling to Thailand and open up new opportunities for Uzbekistan citizens.
