Uzbekistan – China: Joint plans in the oil and gas sector through 2026 discussed

The leadership of Uzbekneftegaz held a working meeting with representatives of Chinese oil and gas companies, including GR Xibu Buling Engineering Company, China 3 National Logging, Great Wall Drilling Company, and the joint venture New Silk Road Oil and Gas.

During the negotiations, the parties reviewed the current state of cooperation and discussed joint plans through 2026. In particular, special attention was given to accelerating geological exploration and implementing joint initiatives to identify, explore, and develop hydrocarbon reserves.

The parties also discussed the introduction of advanced technological solutions in drilling operations, the use of modern service solutions in production processes, and opportunities for Chinese companies to participate in investment and production projects within Uzbekneftegaz’s system. It was emphasized that such cooperation would increase efficiency in the oil and gas sector and create new opportunities.

Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz Abdugani Sanginov stated that the company is ready to engage in open cooperation with qualified, experienced, and reliable contracting and service organizations, emphasizing that joint projects will be implemented on the basis of competitive technical and economic proposals in accordance with international standards and established requirements.
