Uzbekistan diplomats have met with the Chairman of the Committee of Economy of Grodno Regional Executive Committee Alexander Commandant.

The administrations of Andijan, Samarkand regions and Grodno region signed cooperation agreements and roadmaps for their implementation within the framework of the First Forum of Belarus and Uzbekistan Regions (Minsk, July 29-30, 2019).

At the meeting, the parties discussed the state of affairs, the course of implementation of the agreements reached earlier and the prospects for enhancing interaction between the regions of Uzbekistan and Belarus. It was emphasized that following the visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Belarus in August 2019, a solid foundation was laid for the development of comprehensive and practical interregional cooperation.

The parties expressed their readiness to continue the development, strengthening and expansion of sister-city relations between the regions and cities of Uzbekistan and Belarus.
