
Abu Dhabi hosted a Global Food Security Summit 2024. The event, organized with the support of UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aimed to ensure the biosafety of agriculture in the face of global challenges such as famine and drought.
The opening ceremony was attended by diplomats of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the UAE. During the summit, Uzbekistan’s representatives held talks with several large retailers and agricultural enterprises.
Primary attention was paid to cooperation with ADCOOP. The participants discussed the import of Uzbek agricultural goods and their sale in the chain’s stores. The Emirati side highly appreciated the quality of the products and expressed interest in systematic imports.
The possibilities of Uzbekistan’s expert system for food products were presented at the event. The diplomats also discussed the import of feed, corn, and alfalfa with Emirates Food and Industries representatives.
Meetings were also held with representatives of the UAE Business Association and the Lulu Group company, which underlines Uzbekistan’s active desire to develop agricultural exports and strengthen economic ties with the UAE.
