Uzbekistan attends China International Import Expo
The first China International Import Expo was held in Shanghai, which was attended by the delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Otajonov.
The first China International Import Expo was held in Shanghai, which was attended by the delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan N.Otajonov. On the same day, Uzbekistan’s delegation attended the Forum dedicated to trade and investment issues, which covered over 2 thousand representatives of official and business circles from 100 countries, as well as heads of international organizations and experts.
Within the framework of the exhibition, Uzbekistan – China business forum was held with participation of representatives of more than 50 leading trade enterprises, associations, and export-import companies of China.
Uzbekistan delegation consisting of representatives of ministries and agencies, large companies, as well as private business representatives held presentations of their companies, as well as meetings and negotiations with potential Chinese partners. Agreements on implementation of a number of trade and investment projects were concluded.
As reported by the Press Service of the Ministry for Foreign Trade, following the China International Import Expo 2018, 23 contracts worth $226 million were concluded, including 21 export contracts worth $173 million and 2 investment agreements worth $53 million.
