Tashkent hosted a meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan – Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkorov, and a member of the board of directors of the Turkish company IC İçtaş İnşaat, Reha Denemeç.

At the meeting, important issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing transport infrastructure were discussed. In particular, attention was drawn to the effective use of public-private partnership (PPP) mechanisms and projects for constructing roads, bridges, and airports.

The parties highly appreciated the work done to improve Uzbekistan’s transport infrastructure. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the project of a high-speed toll road connecting Samarkand, Bukhara, and Navoi regions.

According to the ministry, during the conversation, it was noted that mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye is dynamically developing through public-private partnership projects. The parties agreed to strengthen cooperation to implement new projects using international experience.
