Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, met with the Special Representative and Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Kaha Imnadze.

The parties addressed the current state and prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Nations, including its specialized agencies, notably the Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening good neighborly relations in the region, promoting economic development, and continuing efforts to maintain peace and stability.

An agreement was reached to deepen Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the United Nations, particularly in water resource management, expanding the potential of youth and women and involving them in peacebuilding and conflict prevention processes.
