Uzbekistan and the UAE accelerate cooperation in space technologies

A delegation from Uzspace participated in the Dubai Airshow 2025.

The forum, which traditionally brings together leading companies of the aerospace industry, was focused on space technologies.

The key event of the visit was a meeting with Salem Butti Salem Al Qubaisi, Director General of the UAE Space Agency. The parties discussed cooperation in satellite development, the implementation of scientific and technical projects, the exchange of experience, and the advancement of space diplomacy. Thanks to initiatives such as the Emirates Mars Mission and MBRSC projects, the UAE has become an important strategic partner of Uzbekistan in the region.

During a visit to the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), the Uzspace delegation became familiar with satellite design processes, remote sensing data processing technologies, and the ecosystem of technological startups. An agreement was reached to prepare a document dedicated to joint scientific and technological initiatives.

Within the framework of the exhibition, negotiations were held with the American companies VAST Space and Axiom Space, which discussed with the Uzbek side issues of technology transfer, personnel training, and joint research.

Plans for a project involving the use of agro-drones in precision agriculture and farmland monitoring were reviewed with the Japanese company Terra Drone.
