Bilateral cooperation issues were thoroughly discussed during a meeting between the Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology, Ural Yusupov, and the delegation led by the Vice President of the Mongolian company Steppe Copper, Badarch Enkhbat.

“Mongolia is a country with vast reserves of mineral resources. We are ready to share our experience and technological capabilities for their efficient utilization. Of particular interest is cooperation in geological exploration, renewable energy, the metallurgical industry, and the development of uranium, gold, copper, and other resources”, Mr. Yusupov stated.

According to the Ministry’s press service, the meeting addressed the operations of the Uzbek Overseas Geology Company’s representative office in Mongolia and the prospects for practical bilateral cooperation. Specialists from the company visited Mongolia from June 5 to 13 and established a representative office in Ulaanbaatar, which will facilitate Uzbekistan’s active participation in geological exploration projects in Mongolia.

The Mongolian partners also positively viewed the prospects of cooperation with Uzbekistan.

“We are ready to expand cooperation with Uzbekistan in geology and metallurgy, including the extraction of copper, uranium, and other raw materials. Your country’s highly qualified specialists and advanced technologies will be a valuable source of expertise for Mongolia”, said Steppe Copper Vice President Badarch Enkhbat.

At the meeting, agreements were reached on implementing joint projects in the extraction and processing of uranium, gold, copper, and rare earth metals, as well as on producing high-value-added products.
