Representatives of the education department of the city of Gyeongbuk of the Republic of Korea visited the Department of Preschool and School Education of Bukhara region.

They discussed the teaching of the Korean language in Bukhara schools, the conditions created for students, and the results achieved. It was noted that schoolchildren and teachers actively participate in competitions and projects organized jointly with Korea.

An agreement was reached to enhance collaboration with schools in the city of Gyeongbuk in 2024. A group of teachers and students from schools in this city is already visiting Bukhara as part of a Memorandum of Cooperation signed with the Education Department of the city of Gyeongbuk of the Republic of Korea.

The guests visited specialized state secondary school No. 42, which was created in 2018. In third grade, students learn two foreign languages – English and Korean. Every day, more and more readers are fluent in both languages. Some students receive international certificates that determine their level of language proficiency.

Thanks to such significant achievements in a short period, the Education Center of the Republic of Korea at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan recognized the school as an “Exemplary School for Teaching the Korean Language”.

The guests participated in “Lessons of National Culture” and got acquainted with Uzbek national clothes, customs, traditions, songs and dances.
