France is one of the world’s leading countries in the development of judo. The country has around 20,000 highly qualified coaches, who regularly train over 600,000 athletes across various regions, passing on their expertise in this martial art.

During a meeting between Azizjon Kamilov, Chairman of the Uzbekistan Judo Federation, and Stéphane Nomis, President of the French Judo Federation, discussions focused on developing a judo club system in Uzbekistan modeled after the French experience.

It was noted that through strengthened cooperation between the Uzbekistan and France judo schools and the exchange of advanced expertise, it would be possible to train athletes of the same caliber as Teddy Riner, David Douillet, Davlat Bobonov, and Diyora Keldiyorova.

At the meeting, several agreements were reached to strengthen cooperation between the two federations.
