Following the Uzbekistan – Afghanistan business meeting, entrepreneurs from the two countries signed preliminary agreements totaling $205 million.

According to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the negotiations focused on strengthening partnership in the food and textile industries and in agricultural production.

The parties agreed to increase mutual supply volumes and implement new joint projects. It was noted that bilateral trade is developing steadily, while economic cooperation is reaching a new level. Last year, mutual trade in goods and services amounted to $1.8 billion, 50 percent higher than the previous year.
