The international WTA Silk Road Dialogue was held in Samarkand.

The event was organized by the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan jointly with the World Tourism Alliance (WTA), with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The dialogue was attended by the UN World Tourism Organization Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili, the Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan Umid Shodiyev, the WTA Chair Zhang Xu, the Acting Hokim of Samarkand region Adiz Boboyev, representatives of international tourism organizations, WTA members, tourism specialists, and media representatives.

The participants discussed the development dynamics of the tourism sector in China and Central Asia, marketing strategies, and the use of digital technologies for tourism promotion, as well as the creation of unique tourism products.
