The International Storytelling Festival, held for the fourth time, is expected to bring together well-known writers from more than 30 countries.

Competition observers began the selection of participants in summer 2019. One storyteller was selected from each country.

Uzbekistan’s young writer Javlon Jovliyev, winner of Zomin, Iskhor and Marvarid Ulkam competitions, will attend the prestigious event.

Within the framework of “My First Book” project, the Writers’ Union published a collection of his short stories “Ikki Qalb Uchrashuvi” (Meeting of Two Souls). His works have been translated into English, Russian and Turkish.

Participants of the festival will make presentations on development of literature in their country. The best works will be selected and published, the authors will be paid a fee.
