The opening ceremony of the Trading House of Uzbekistan took place on September 10, the founder of which is the Latvian company Outdoor Media.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan A. Ikramov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Latvia K. Sultanov, founder of the Trading House of Uzbekistan in Latvia V. Galperin and others.

The Trading House provides for the creation of a show room, where samples of products of Uzbekistan manufacturers will be exhibited, in particular, textiles, footwear, porcelain, furniture, products of the electrical industry, medical supplies, confectionery, building materials.

It should be noted that the Trading House of Uzbekistan was registered by the Latvian Investment and Development Agency on August 6, 2021. Its total area is 140 square meters.

In 2020, Latvia entered the top 15 main trade partners of Uzbekistan. In January-June 2021, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $107.6 million, exports – $31.4 million and imports – $76.1 million.
