The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria organized a cultural and educational event to mark Uzbek Language Day. The event was attended by diplomats and members of the Union of Uzbek Students in Austria, including Uzbekistan youth studying at the University of Vienna.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Ibragimov congratulated everyone on Uzbek Language Day and spoke about the attention being given to the development and preservation of the language, as well as the essential reforms underway in culture and education.

As part of the meeting, a roundtable discussion was held with young Uzbek people studying at Austrian universities. The discussion focused on opportunities to organize Uzbek language classes for them at the University of Vienna, establish Uzbek Language Corners in libraries, and equip them with textbooks and literature for teaching the national language to foreigners.

It was decided to submit a request to the University of Vienna rectorate to open an Uzbek Language Corner in the university library.
