October 21 is widely celebrated as the Uzbek language day in Uzbekistan. Many events have been held abroad to popularize and promote the study of our native language.

Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies will conduct an online Uzbek language course at one of the leading universities in the Islamic Republic of Iran-Allameh Tabatabai on 28 October this year. The course will be taught for students of the Department of Turkish language and literature at Allameh Tabatabai University for the first time. 

The classes will be conducted by professors of the Department of Iranian-Afghan Philology of TSUOS Khulkar Mirzakhmedova and Mirzajon Kalandarov. The course offers materials that aim at the development of lexical, grammatical and intercultural dialogue. It includes texts reflecting the history, culture and modern life of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that this is the second time for TSUOS to teach the Uzbek Language abroad this year. The first time was organized for students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi from 23rd February to 25th June.

Uzbek Language Classes at Allameh Tabatabai University of Iran
