The leadership of Korea’s Top Promotion has visited Uzbekistan Kurash Federation.

The guests visited the Kurash Museum in Tashkent and got acquainted with the exhibits and other interesting information about the history and contemporary development of this type of wrestling.

South Korean delegation has met with the First Deputy Chairman of Uzbekistan Kurash Federation, the founder of modern rules in this national form of wrestling, Komil Yusupov. He informed about the activities carried out to develop kurash both in the country and its global popularization. In turn, the guests told about the work carried out to include the Korean national sport, taekwondo, in the program of the Summer Olympics.

At the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. According to the document, an agreement was reached on creating the necessary conditions for including kurash in the program of the Olympic Games, promoting it widely and strengthening the prestige among the world’s youth, as well as turning this type of wrestling into a world sports heritage as an Uzbek brand.

Uzbek Kurash is picking up steam in South Korea
