Work has begun to further improve UzA activities in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev of December 2, 2019 No. RP-4541 “On measures to further improve the activities of Uzbekistan National News Agency”. A new updated website of the agency has been developed, a new logo has been approved, a photobank has been launched, mobile apps are being developed.
Updated Website
When developing the updated version of UzA website, the main emphasis was on creating user-friendliness. In particular, the website design is adapted for easy reading of texts. New possibilities have been created in viewing photo, video and audio messages. Particular attention is also paid to ensuring the prompt work of the website.
The website is in test mode. We apologize for the technical inconvenience.
New Logo
A logo is the face of any company. UzA also decided to update its logo, which was developed several years ago and is outdated for the world of modern media.
The design of the new logo has been created in the minimalist style, providing a harmonious combination of formality and simplicity. When choosing the colors, various forms (text, video, photo, audio) and sources of information transmission (website, mobile app, social networks) were taken into account.
Photobank
UzA has a large repository of photos with a long-term archive. At the same time, UzA photo correspondents work throughout the country, who daily capture various events taking place in the country. However, until now, there has not been an electronic system that would allow collecting these photo and allowing users to view and download them.
If to take foreign experience, then most news agencies have their own photobank, which allows to use photos and put them up for electronic sale in compliance with copyright. Based on this, a special section, Photobank, has also been launched on the new UzA website.
Currently, the system is mainly loaded with photo reports prepared in the recent days. In the future, it is planned to place all the UzA archive photos.
Online sale of photos through the photobank will also be established. An opportunity will be created to download a large volume of original files with photos using local electronic payment systems such as PayMe, Click and international cards Visa, MasterCard. The proceeds from the sale will be used to pay additional royalties to photographers, as well as to upgrade their photographic equipment.
Currently, due to the launch of the system, all the photos can be downloaded free of charge within 1 month.
Regional News
The new UzA website also focuses on covering regional news. Therefore, a separate page has been created for all 14 administrative-territorial units of the country. By visiting these pages, users can keep abreast of the latest news in the regions.
Mobile Apps
It’s no secret that today the majority of users access the Internet via mobile devices. Therefore, any modern website besides the web version, of course, should have a mobile version and apps. A version of UzA website designed for mobile devices is working. In the near future, it is planned to launch special mobile apps for the Android and iOS operating systems.
Content, Not Form
In addition to the aforementioned news, we would also like to emphasize that we are well aware that content, not form, is important for modern users. No matter how attractive the website or logo is, everything is useless if the published articles and news are not useful and interesting to people.
Therefore, all members of the large UzA team will make every effort to provide you with the highest qualitative, reliable, prompt and objective information. We hope that users will like both the form and the content of the updated UzA.
Yours faithfully,
UzA
