A practical workshop “Protection of children from violence: National and international practice” took place at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

Representatives of universities, pre-school educational organizations, teachers, and students attended the event.

Presentations were made, and the importance of the norms of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child was explained. The norms of the national legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan on children’s rights were analyzed and clarified using judicial practice.

The heads of preschool educational organizations expressed their opinions, which resulted in the formation of initiatives addressing the most pressing issues in the domestic and international practice of protecting children from violence.

Proposals have been put forward to ensure children’s rights, prevent violence, and support child victims.
