The delegation, led by Nagata Kyosuke, President of the University of Tsukuba and the Japan Association of National Universities, visited Uzbekistan.

The issue of creating a joint higher education institution and further work towards education development was discussed at the meeting with the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kungirotboy Sharipov. 

A preliminary agreement has been reached on the establishment of a new international university, which will contribute to the development of the education system of New Uzbekistan. To develop the necessary technical-economic foundations for this project, a joint working group was decided to be created.

University of Tsukuba to open a branch in Uzbekistan
