United States opens Uzbek Carpets Trading House
The official opening ceremony of the first trading house of Uzbekistan’s SAG company for the sale of carpets was held in Philadelphia.
The official opening ceremony of the first trading house of Uzbekistan’s SAG company for the sale of carpets was held in Philadelphia. The ceremony was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United States Javlon Vakhabov and Chairman of Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association Ilkhom Khaydarov.
The SAG, founded in 2000 in Samarkand, is one of the leading carpet manufacturing companies in Central Asia and the CIS countries. It annually produces 12 million square meters of carpet products. They are exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Afghanistan, Ukraine, China and European countries.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the United States, the new trading platform will contribute to the implementation of qualitative and competitive Uzbek carpets in the U.S. market, and will also become a permanent showroom for various exhibitions and fairs of textile products of Uzbekistan manufacturers.
