Ulugbek Rashidov wins the Asian Championships

The Uzbekistan national team is performing well at the U20 Asian Wrestling Championships in Thailand.

Following the first two days of competition, representatives of Uzbekistan won two gold medals, one silver and four bronze medals.

In freestyle wrestling, the Uzbekistan team won one gold and one bronze medal. In the 57 kg weight class, Ulugbek Rashidov defeated Japan’s Rikuto Nagai in the final to become Asian champion. In the 65 kg weight class, Sanjarbek Anvarbekov won a bronze medal.

In women’s wrestling, the Uzbekistan team won one gold, one silver, and three bronze medals. In the 65 kg weight category, Muhayyo Narzillayeva won gold, while Shokhista Shonazarova claimed silver in the 50 kg category. Feruza Kairatdinova, Muhayyo Rakhimjonova, and Sevinchoy Polvonova won bronze medals.
