UK’s strategic planning experience is studied

The Institute for Problems of Legislation and Parliamentary Studies under the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan held an international scientific-practical workshop on “Parliament and strategic planning of its research activities: the experience of Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom”.
The event was attended by deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, representatives of the British Embassy in Uzbekistan, the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, the Research Institute of Legal Policy under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The workshop outlined further tasks arising from the memorandum signed between the Institute for Problems of Legislation and Parliamentary Studies and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy in August this year.
With participation of experts from the UK, views were exchanged on the essence and significance, the practice of applying strategic planning and other issues. Reports of experts on building activities of state administration and parliament based on modern requirements, drawing up strategic and business plans of research institutes were heard.
