A meeting was held at the Hokimiyat of Tashkent with a delegation led by the UK Trade Envoy to Central Asia and Azerbaijan, John Alderdice.

The parties discussed in detail issues of trade, economic, and investment cooperation. It was emphasized that the key sectors of Tashkent’s economy are developing on the principles of openness, transparency, and zero tolerance for corruption.

The guests were presented with information on major investment projects underway in Tashkent, the construction of modern residential complexes, the modernization of transport infrastructure, ongoing reforms in environmental protection, and the development of a green economy.

Members of the delegation expressed interest in expanding the exchange of advanced managerial experience, deepening investment cooperation, and enhancing private sector participation in joint projects. In addition, issues related to organizing bilateral business forums and establishing direct contacts between business communities were considered.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to develop a mutually beneficial partnership and implement joint initiatives.
