Investment projects are being implemented in Tashkent region for the construction of a combined-cycle power plant with a capacity of 240 MW and a gas-piston power plant with a capacity of 230 MW.

According to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a project with a total cost of $300 million is being implemented on an area of 7 hectares in Qibray district. The project will be fully financed by Aksa Enerji through foreign direct investment. It is planned that the stations will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year. They will generate 3.9 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. Due to the implementation of this project, natural gas will be saved in the amount of 550 cubic meters per year.

Within the framework of the project, an investment agreement was signed between Aksa Enerji and the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan, and an agreement on the purchase of electric energy with Uzbekistan Milliy Elektr Tarmoqlari JSC.

It should be noted that the construction activities will attract 900 workers and employees, and 220 new jobs will be created after the launching of the project.
