Leaders of the Turkic countries planted trees on Registan Square in Samarkand. The ceremony was broadcast online in the capitals of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan and Hungary, as well as Uzbekistan’s regions.

The event, organized within the framework of the “Yashil Makon” (Green Space) project initiated by the Head of the state, was attended by the Hokim of Bukhara region Botir Zaripov, members of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, deputies, heads of state and non-governmental organizations, pop singers, members of the national cultural centers of the region, representatives of the media and youth.

The public of the region planted seedlings of decorative trees.

“Planting seedlings and creating a garden is one of the noble and valuable manifestations of our people”, says Abira Huseynova, a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis. – The seedlings will grow into trees of life, the gardens that we plant today will decorate our country for many decades.
