Training aimed at ensuring women’s safety

Supporting women is one of the key factors in achieving stability, justice in society, and the country's development. Comprehensive measures and effective programs are needed to ensure that women can fully exercise their rights and feel safe.

On the initiative of the Center for Advancing Community Strengths and Social Wellbeing, in collaboration with the Columbia School of Social Work, National Agency for Social Protection, and the Republican Center for Rehabilitation and Adaptation of Women, an online training was launched as part of the W.I.N.G.S program – “Women Initiating New Goals of Safety”.

The employees of the Republican Women’s Rehabilitation and Adaptation Center, psychologists and chief specialists of “Inson” social services centers, as well as employees of the non-governmental non-profit organization “Mother's Home”, are taking part in the event, which is being held in the pilot regions – Andijan, Navoi, Khorezm, and the city of Tashkent.

The three-day training program will cover topics related to deepening understanding of gender-based violence, the conceptual foundations of the W.I.N.G.S. project, and the development of facilitation skills and their practical application.

The training aims not only to deepen theoretical knowledge but also to create practical tools that will help women cope with life difficulties, ensure their safety, and achieve stable well-being.
