From April 21 to 25, the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with several ministries and organizations, will hold the traditional International Festival of Fine and Applied Arts across the country. This year’s festival is dedicated to the Year of Environmental Protection and the Green Economy.
A press conference was held at the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan to mark the occasion.
As part of the festival, exhibitions of selected works by renowned international and local artists and artisans will be organized in the exhibition halls of Tashkent, regional centers, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan. The program will include masterclasses, art performances, various cultural and educational events, and international scientific conferences. Creative projects will be showcased by young artists studying at higher, secondary specialized, and general education institutions.

According to the program, this year the Gallery of Fine Arts of Uzbekistan will host the international exhibition “Meeting of Artists of the Turkic World”, featuring 21 artists from TURKSOY member countries.
Exhibitions of Russian and Turkish artists are also planned, along with masterclasses.
The festival program includes two scientific and practical conferences. Academicians, artists, and artisans who are members of the Creative Union of Artists of Uzbekistan will take part in conducting masterclasses in the regions.
As in previous years, the winners of the “Followers of Kamoliddin Behzod” miniature and folk applied art competition will be announced and awarded, and an exhibition of participants’ works will be presented.
